Strange Fruit: The Hip-hopera isn't just another slave movie. It is a powerful call to confront America's legacy of racism. We are not rehashing Black trauma, we are telling a story for all generations through a wildly modern perspective. Through the revolutionary language of rap, song and dance, this hip-hop musical aims to ignite racial reconciliation across the country.

Our premiere short film won Best Musical of the Year at Indie Night's Film Festival and Best Story at the Experimental Dance & Music Film Festival. It serves as the proof-of-concept in our campaign to produce a Hollywood feature film. Imagine a powerful Black woman in the 21st century being thrust back into the 1800s as a slave with only one chance to escape back to her reality. This is the story of LASHELLE ROBINSON, a dynamic, spit-fire Wall Street executive (think a Kamala Harris type), who travels back in time to rescue her ancestor, INKA, from a terrible lynching – all to lift the curse off her white fiancé, TODD DECATUR, the love of her life.
